Founded on 13 August 2025 by Mr. Prasad Shivaiah Shetty (Prasad S.) – Co-Founder and Managing Trustee,
the GAVI Foundation and Trust (Regd.) is built on a lifelong commitment to uplift rural communities.
Born and raised in remote rural India, Mr. Shetty experienced firsthand the challenges faced by underserved communities.
His own journey—marked by hardship, perseverance, and a strong determination to pursue education—shaped his lifelong mission
to give back to society.
This mission began in 2010, long before the Trust was formally registered. With no organizational name and only a strong
desire to help, he started distributing free notebooks and stationery to students in government schools across
Chamarajanagara District.
What began with support to 100 students has today grown to benefit over 600 underprivileged children every year.
This impactful work has been made possible through the dedication and contributions of 6–8 close friends
who stood beside him in this noble cause.
To expand its reach, strengthen its initiatives, and serve communities on a larger scale, the GAVI Foundation and Trust
was formally established from Mr. Shetty’s native village. The organization now focuses on three core areas—Education,
Health, and Conservation—with the mission to create lasting, positive change for underprivileged communities.
We have served thousands of students through multiple drives and consistent community support.
In addition to education, we actively engage in healthcare and environmental initiatives to empower communities.
We distribute notebooks, school supplies and study materials to underprivileged students to ensure continuous learning opportunities.
We organize health camps in remote rural areas, especially focused on senior citizens and those who need basic healthcare support.
We contribute to sustainability through tree plantation drives and sapling distribution programs for greener and healthier communities.
From informal initiatives to a registered trust — expanding outreach with transparency and impact.

These activities were carried out under an informal banner while expanding outreach to villages and schools.
Official registration strengthened transparency, accountability and enabled broader impact across Karnataka.
We continue distributing educational materials, organizing health camps, and conducting plantation drives with community support.
A mission powered by personal commitment and support from friends and well-wishers.
The foundation was initiated and continues to be driven by the Co-Founder and his brother, who personally fund a significant
portion of the activities from their own earnings, supplemented by contributions from close friends and well-wishers.
Our mission is to create equal opportunities for rural children, empower communities through education and health, and contribute
meaningfully to environmental sustainability.
